Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!! I hope you’re like me and you have a lot to be thankful for! I would like to share a couple of things that I’m very grateful and thankful for this year:
1. God has brought me to a stable place in my OCD and I enjoy every day now!
2. My nephew made it home safely from deployment in Iraq!
3. Our family is increasing, next spring God is blessing me with two great nieces!
4. I’m grateful and thankful for my amazing and wonderful family!
5. I’m grateful for the Christian legacy that Dad and Mom left to their çhildren and many more!
For my family and I, the DOXOLOGY holds a special place in our hearts! Dad, from time to time, would lead us in singing the DOXOLOGY for our mealtime prayer! I would like to leave you all now listening to one of my favorite renditions of the song (not as good as Dad, but good). I think it is very appropriate for this holiday as we gather together to give thanks and remember the Giver from whom all our blessings flow. Happy listening and Happy Thanksgiving!

Cate, Thank you for sharing the Doxology being sung by Andrew Laparra, I had never heard him sing this before. This is an excellent song for Thanksgiving. I trust you and your family have a blessed Thanksgiving! I really appreciate your blogs.

As I gazed out the window and listened to the song, this passage came to mind as perfectly describing your Dad…” and through faith, though he is dead, he still speaks.” Grateful I got to meet Bill Ticknor. Through you, he is still speaking to me about what is most important.

Thanks Cate. I remember different times when breaking bread with your family that your dad would lead out with the Doxology for our prayer. I always felt blest being part of those times. May you and family have a very Blessed Thanksgiving day.
